Police responding to an unconscious persons report discovered a woman stabbed on the 6000 block of Amberwood Rd. The woman died from her injuries after being brought to an area hospital.
Sept. 24
Light-rail operations near the 300 block of W. Franklin St. were halted due to a fire within that area. The fire also damaged the historic Mayfair Theater, which is also in that area.
Sept. 25
The Maryland Board of Elections found Maryland Governor candidate Larry Hogan guilty of violating a campaign finance rule, but waived his fine. The Board determined that Hogan had failed to pay for a poll that an advocacy group, Change Maryland, had sold to his campaign, a campaign finance infraction.
Sept. 26
Police are investigating the death of 24-year old Wendell Wright, who was found shot multiple times in Boarman Ave. Wright died after being taken to an area hospital.
Sept. 27
The Baltimore Sun was awarded the Online Journalism Award, for a 2013 article investigating sexual assault in the U.S. military. The Online Journalism Awards were founded in 2000 to recognize online journalistic excellence.
Sept. 28
An American doctor with the Ebola virus was admitted to the National Institute of Health in Bethesda. The doctor had contracted the disease while treating patients in Sierra Leone.
Sept. 29
A man and a woman were shot early Monday morning in Annapolis. According to police, the shooting appeared to be linked to a domestic dispute.
